Charlotte L. Staples

Charlotte was born in Lubbock, Texas. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts degrees in Psychology and Communications from the University of North Texas in 1991. For many years she was employed with Child Protective Services and other social work organizations, and continues doing volunteer work for people in need. While attending St. Mary’s, she was president of their chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, International Legal Fraternity and clerked for Judge Robin Sage. In 2016 she was recognized by Court Appointed Special Advocates (“CASA”) as Attorney of the Year for her work with children in the foster care system. Additionally, she has spearheaded a charity project that provides basic necessities, such as pajamas, underwear, and toiletries to foster children for their first night in care. Her primary area of practice for TOASE is municipal law.
